Fourze premiered in late 2011 following the finale of OOO. The series has a spaceflight motif and is intended to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin's and mankind's first flight into space as well as the 40th anniversary of the Kamen Rider Series.Gentaro Kisaragi has recently transferred to Amanogawa High School, where he seeks to make everyone there his friend. After he meets with childhood friend Yuki Jojima, and runs afoul of her friend Kengo Utahoshi, a monster known as a Zodiarts attacks. After Gentaro takes the Fourze Driver Kengo intended to use himself, he transforms into Kamen Rider Fourze and fights the Zodiarts. Yuki convinces Kengo to begrudingly allow Gentaro to assist them in their fight, even as Gentaro transforms the lunar base they can transport to into the headquarters for a Kamen Rider Club to gather friends and supporters in the fight.

Amanogawa High School has become the center of strange happenings, and things only get stranger when the bad boy styled transfer student Gentaro Kisaragi attempts to make friends in his own unique way, reuniting with childhood friend and self-professed space travel otaku Yuki Jojima, all while gaining the ire of loner Kengo Utahoshi and the school's queen bee Miu Kazashiro and her enforcer jock boyfriend Shun Daimonji, as garishly styled social butterfly JK and goth girl Tomoko Nozama watch on. When monsters called Zodiarts begin to appear on campus, Kengo and Yuki attempt to use the strange devices they have found in the Rabbit Hatch Lunar Base that they access through a locker on an off-limits part of campus to fight them. However, Gentaro interferes in their plans, in part due to Kengo's body unable to handle the strains of battle, and uses the devices to transform into Kamen Rider Fourze.

Also appear in Kamen Rider Fourze is Kamen Rider Meteor played by Ryo Yoshizawa. Like Kamen Rider Fourze, Kamen Rider Meteor's abilities arise from Cosmic Energy (コズミックエナジー Kozumikku Enajī). However, compared to Kamen Rider Fourze's arsenal, the Meteor System was not devised by Kengo's father and instead was built by the Anti-Zodiarts Union. The energy for Ryusei to transform into Kamen Rider Meteor comes from the M-BUS satellite in orbit, with Ryusei needing Tachibana's approval to transform. After transforming into Kamen Rider Meteor, Ryusei says "Kamen Rider Meteor, I'll decide your fate!" (仮面ライダーメテオ、お前の運命は俺が決める! Kamen Raidā Meteo, Omae no sadame wa ore ga kimeru!). Kamen Rider Meteor has two Limit Break finishing attacks on his own. The first is the spinning attack called the Meteor Tornado (メテオトルネード Meteo Torunēdo) and the second is a Rider Kick called the Meteor Strike (メテオストライク Meteo Sutoraiku).Kamen Rider Meteor's helmet is called the Starface (スターフェイス Sutāfeisu).
